Highly-esteemed acting coach to the stars Finnley Burnett has leapt to the defence of actor Paul Dano, following scathing comments by director Quentin Tarantino that Dano is, ‘weak sauce.’

Burnett – who’s pretty late on the scene here because Tarantino’s comments are a week old – contacted The Daily Fug directly, and referred to one of Dano’s performances as a young actor in denouncing Tarantino’s criticism.

‘There’s a scene in The Girl Next Door where Dano’s character Klitz is at an adult film convention, and he’s invited to touch the breast of a busty adult film star, that is irrefutably brilliant,’ Burnett said.

‘Dano’s face acting and his hand acting – it's one of the finest acting moments to ever grace the silver screen, and proves Paul Dano is definitely strong sauce.’

Burnett also praised the actor who played the character Mule in the same scene, saying his buzz cut was, ‘on point.’

Not done with there, Burnett – who’s owned The Learn Acting School School for Actors for close to fifty years – provided a second example he believed exhibited Dano’s greatness.

‘His performance as Tony in Scarface is why that film is considered one of the greatest ever made.’

The Daily Fug questioned the validity of this opinion, as there’s only one Tony in Scarface – Tony Montana – who is played by Al Pacino, and the film was released in 1983, a year before Dano was born.

At that point, Burnett cut the interview short claiming a brain haemorrhage, but accidentally forgot to hang up the phone, and could be heard listening to Alien Ant Farm, and singing along to it, for the next 45 minutes.
