There was confusion on last night's episode of popular game show Win Big Lots, after host Jamie Jones mistakenly took a regular low-income earning man for Bill Gates.
During the contestant introductions, Jones asked the contestant what he did for a living, to which the contestant replied, 'Build gates.'
Jones, having believed he heard the man say he was Bill Gates for a living, treated the man like he was a billionaire for the rest of the show. As a result, the two other contestants won 15 million pounds, while the gate building contestant – real name Abraham Patswood – went home with nothing.
'I wondered what Jones was talking about when he asked me how Microsoft was going,' Patswood said.
'I told him I only use the notepad function as I don't make enough money to buy Microsoft. He called me a stupid rich prick, and told me to spin the wheel.'
Jones only realised his mistake when shown a photo of the real Bill Gates at the end of the program. He described the blunder as one, 'anyone could make,' because Gates and Patswood, 'look so alike.'
Patswood scoffed at that reasoning.
'Gates is 5 foot 10 and slim. I'm 5'1 and fat,' he said. 'He's a 70yo fair-haired man with glasses. I'm a 24-year-old fanta pants with a pig nose.'

Channel Q97 had scheduled a re-run of the episode for tonight, however it was pulled earlier today with executives blaming the decision on, 'technical difficulties.'
